Team Elonex are running the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon to raise funds for the NSPCC.
Please support them here.
The NSPCC is a charity close to our hearts here at Elonex, and individuals within the business have long been supporters of its fundraising efforts.
However, this is our toughest challenge yet, and a team of 6 hardy Elonex soles will hit the streets of London on Sunday 28th April to tackle the most famous Marathon in the world!
Commenting as the team prepares for the London Marathon, Amanda Synnott, NSPCC Fundraising Manager for the West Midlands said:
“Elonex have been huge supporters over the last 5 years supporting the work we do locally, getting involved in all types of events, they really do have huge hearts and we feel privileged to have them as supporters. Through their generosity, last year they became patrons of the NSPCC which I know was a huge honour to them but also an honour to the NSPCC to have them as part of our family.”
“I think their passion for our work and wanting to make a difference shines through by not only taking the huge task on of the London Marathon itself but also working before and after the event on the day. All six of them are not just running the London marathon but running in the fight for every childhood.”
To make things a little bit harder, all 6 of the team will be working overnight helping to install the Elonex LED screening that lights up the finishing straight of the London Marathon – before heading to the start line and running 26.2 miles!
And once they complete the race, you’ve guessed it…they’ll all be involved in de-rigging the LED and getting it back to Elonex HQ!
So quite some challenge! And if you or your company can help with the team’s fundraising, however big or small, it would be very much appreciated.
Every penny raised will help the NSPCC to do everything possible to keep childhood safe from abuse, so children can grow up healthy and thrive.
