Elonex has entered the Brindleyplace Dragonboat Festival 2015!
On Saturday 30th May 2015, we’ll be one of 20 West Midlands-based firms going head to head in traditional Chinese longboats, racing along the Birmingham and Worcester Canal at Brindleyplace, Birmingham – all to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, and we need your support!
The Brindleyplace Dragonboat Festival is one of the most well known and established annual corporate fundraising events in Birmingham. So far the event has raised over £350,000 for local charities, and this year, for the 20th anniversary of Brindleyplace, has an ambitious fundraising target of £100,000 – which will be donated to Cure Leukaemia, Elonex’s official charity partner.
The money raised will help provide support for the life-saving work carried out at the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, and will increase the Centre’s ability to deliver pioneering treatments for blood cancer patients.
So please dig deep to show your support for this fantastic cause and sponsor the Elonex Dragonboat team!
Donations can be made via our Just Giving* page www.justgiving.com/elonex and whatever you can give will be greatly received and put to good work saving lives.
The festival is also a great family day out with events and entertainment taking place in Brindleyplace throughout the day (you can even watch live coverage of the Dragonboat races on an Elonex giant screen!), so please come along and support us and all the other teams taking part.
