The home of Swansea City Football Club and Ospreys Rugby, the Liberty Stadium has agreed an exciting new partnership with Elonex.
Elonex is to become the Official Digital Visual Technology Partner to the Liberty Stadium, in a deal which will see the very latest digital display technology brought to one of the UK’s leading multi-purpose arenas.
As well as hosting Premier League Football and top flight Rugby Union, the Liberty Stadium is also a number one venue for conferences and major events, with global superstars Lionel Richie and the Manic Street Preachers due to appear there in 2016.
One of the highlights of the partnership involves Elonex incorporating a new and unmissable, large format digital screen on the front of the Liberty Stadium. Measuring a huge 32 square metres, the screen will create a main focal point for the thousands who visit the Liberty Stadium each year.
The new screen will broadcast fully animated and high definition content to promote forthcoming fixtures and events, convey public information and to provide businesses with innovative digital advertising opportunities.
Announcing the new partnership, Andrew Davies, General Manager at the Liberty Stadium said: “The introduction of the new external screen at the Liberty Stadium marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long and exciting relationship with Elonex.
“The screen, which is the first step in the relationship, will allow us to communicate forthcoming event information more effectively than has been possible previously, whilst at the same time allowing an exciting medium for brands to be advertised at a venue which is at the heart of the community in Swansea.”
Nick Smith, CEO at Elonex added: “We’re delighted to be working with the Liberty Stadium, especially at such an exciting time for the arena as it plays host to two outstanding top flight sports teams and welcomes many of the world’s best known entertainment artists.
“The region also holds a large emotional value for us, as our first TV manufacturing plant was located not far from where the Liberty Stadium stands today.
Elonex has a successful history of delivering the latest in stadium visual technology, and we’re very much looking forward to further enhancing the visitor experience of the Liberty and to introducing new digital advertising opportunities for brands wanting to reach the big crowds that assemble there.”
News of the new partnership at the Liberty Stadium comes during a remarkable 12-months for Elonex, with the digital technology experts having agreed numerous other deals at high profile sports and entertainment venues including at Warwickshire County Cricket Club, the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham and Northampton Saints Rugby Club.
