To maximise its effect and broadcast the message to the largest possible audience, the Elonex network of digital outdoor advertising sites in the West Midlands was at the heart of a major announcement concerning Birmingham yesterday.
In a much anticipated statement, Birmingham’s famous NIA announced it is to change its name to the Barclaycard Arena and reopen in December after a two-year £26million redevelopment, with Michael Bublé topping the bill on opening night.
In the run up to the announcement, countdown ‘teaser’ messages were aired across the Elonex network of digital outdoor advertising sites in the West Midlands, before real-time creative was utilised to broadcast the venue’s name change and new partnership with Barclaycard simultaneously with the news breaking at a press conference in Birmingham City Centre.
