Crafted from steel with metallic silver finishes and raised 3D anthracite grey elements, these magnificent figures are a striking addition to Liverpool’s skyline. The Liver Birds, an enduring symbol of the city, embody its proud maritime history and cultural significance, making this new installation a fusion of modern innovation and local tradition.
The Liver Bird structures were meticulously crafted under the leadership of Chris Geddes of Area Welding Services Limited, an expert in the field who previously contributed to a similar project on the same site nearly two decades ago when it was owned by JC Decaux. Made locally in Cheshire, each component of the structures was laser-cut, powder-coated, and then carefully assembled on-site, ensuring an exceptional level of craftsmanship.
