The busy streets of Birmingham City Centre will feature the very latest in visual technology this Christmas, with a stunning new network of Elonex Outdoor Media digital screens dominating the city’s central retail, business and gastro district.
Located at key consumer dwell locations in the City Centre’s pedestrian core, the new digital screens will be in place to broadcast public information from Birmingham City Council and real time advertisements from both local and national retailers over the festive season.
The digital network, named The Big Switch On, comes to life on Monday 9th November just as Christmas in Birmingham prepares to get off to a sparkling start with the unveiling of this year’s Christmas Lights and opening of the world famous Frankfurt Christmas Market, and will remain unmissable right up to 22nd December 2015.
Consisting of three large format, high definition LED screens, The Big Switch On digital network is positioned to target the highest footfall areas in Birmingham City Centre, and is guaranteed to capture the imagination of millions of shoppers and visitors to the Christmas Market when they converge on the city in the run up to Christmas.
The Big Switch On screen one will be located at the at the very heart of the Frankfurt Christmas Market, which on its own is estimated to exceed the 5.5 million visitors it attracted in 2014, screen two directly outside Grand Central Birmingham and screen three at the entrance to the Bullring Shopping Centre.
The Big Switch On digital network follows a pedestrian’s typical Christmas journey around Birmingham City Centre, and whilst enhancing that festive visitor experience of the city will precisely deliver unique advertising opportunities for brands targeting a mass and lucrative, seasonal audience.
